Production and Inventory Control Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Production and Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of production schedules and inventory management within the test sieve and wire mesh filter manufacturing environment. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, inventory levels are optimized, and customer orders are fulfilled on time. The supervisor leads and supports a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while working cross-functionally to streamline operations using W.S. Tyler’s ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to process improvement projects including the implementation of the ERP system into Operations.
• Develop and manage production schedules for test sieves, wire mesh filters, and related components to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
• Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels of all purchased items.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials based on production forecasts.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems, including cycle counts and reconciliation processes.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, material shortages, and process inefficiencies.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, inventory transactions, and material usage.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications and standards are met.
• Lead, coach, and develop the production planning and inventory team, promoting accountability, engagement, and skill growth.
• Foster a positive team environment that encourages open communication, problem-solving, and shared ownership of goals and adherence to safety protocols. ________________________________________
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Supervision, Inventory Control or related field (preferred)
• 5 years of experience in production planning and inventory control, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership experience, including team development, coaching, and performance management
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAGE, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, ISO standards, and quality control practice
• Experience in the implementation of modern inventory control systems/software (digital/paperless/barcodes/scanning/etc.)

• Work is primarily performed in the production facility.

• Occasional extended hours may be needed for meetings, deadlines, or events.
