NEXOPART e200 LS

Developed in the early 1950s, air jet sieve technology was developed to take the efficiency and accuracy of particle size analysis to greater heights. The Nexopart e200 LS keeps this tradition alive with its state-of-the-art design that delivers accurate results to modern lab settings.

Its user-friendly touchscreen control panel empowers you to control testing parameters, monitor testing progress, and register results with ease. The Nexopart e200 LS and its unique air jet technology, paired with one of four software variants, were built specifically for fine materials that are known to agglomerate.

So, whether you’re producing pharmaceuticals or formulating the perfect cement mix, the Nexopart e200 LS offers the perfect balance of accuracy, efficacy, and ease of use.

Breakdown and test fine, agglomerated materials easily with the Nexopart e200 LS

What is an Nexopart e200 LS?

The Nexopart e200 LS is an air jet sieve device designed for fine, agglomerated sample material. It utilizes a specialized vacuum system to create a strong airstream that breaks down particle agglomeration.

This allows the particles to find the mesh openings of your sieves, making for a seamless air jet sieve analysis.

With an easy-to-use user interface, four different software levels can unlock further details about your analysis. Alongside its core sieving capacity, the Nexopart e200 LS can often supplement dynamic image analysis systems or traditional sieve shakers.

The Lite software package allows users to connect various vacuum cleaners. However, it does not include the ability to save and enter login credentials.

Basic

The essential software allows pressure regulation automation, printing of results, and central parameter management.

  • Fast results evaluation (in table form)
  • Manual underpressure selection – Sieving lite
  • Selection between 10 different languages

Ultimate

The ultimate software delivers the same functionality as the primary software level with the addition of saving testing data on the device itself and a local computer. This software level also grants the ability to create sieve set management criteria or SOPs.

  • Results evaluation against set point specifications (in table and graph form)
  • Automated back-up
  • Graphic evaluation (RRSB, histogram)
  • Data export as XML or PDF
  • Audio function
  • Individual display accuracy adjustable

Security

The security software delivers the same functionality as the ultimate software, with additional functions to comply with SPE GAMP 5, FDA 21 Part 11, and EC GMP Annex 11 standards. This includes the ability to create backed-up audit trails furnished with e-signatures.

  • Requirements for software validation are as follows: ISPE GAMP 5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EC GMP Annex 11 conform.
  • User administration
  • Password management
  • Audit trail – monitoring of user activities and event logging

How Does It Work?

Extremely fine particles tend to agglomerate and, therefore, often become lodged in the test sieve mesh. For this reason, air jet sieves have become the device of choice for sieving fine powders.

The Nexopart e200 LS offers maximum effectiveness with such materials. The reason for this effectiveness comes down to two components: a slotted nozzle that rotates in the sieving chamber and an industrial vacuum cleaner connected to the sieving chamber.

When the vacuum cleaner is switched on, it generates a vacuum inside the sieving chamber. The extremely narrow slot of the slotted nozzle accelerates the incoming air and flows against the sieve fabric at high speed from below.

The particles on the test sieve mesh are projected upward, slamming against the plexiglass lid. This causes particle agglomeration to break down.

However, almost instantaneously, the particles are drawn down through the sieve apertures by the vacuum’s suction. As a result, coarse material remains on the sieve, allowing it to be re-weighed.

The Nexopart e200 LS affords control over underpressure and sieving-relevant parameters, making obtaining accurate and repeatable results seamless.

Essential Product Information For You

Verify Your Air Jet Performance

The ALPINE e200 LS, like any other particle analysis instrument, may fall out of spec over time. Fortunately, there is an annual calibration program designed to ensure your air jet sieve analysis results remain reliable.

Accommodating Software Tiers

Expectations of an ALPINE e200 LS are set by the specific needs of the user. Understanding this, W.S. Tyler offers four software levels, ensuring you reach the desired testing results efficiently.

Particle Extraction Made Easy

There are instances in which the particles being tested via the ALPINE e200 LS can’t pass into the vacuum system. These particles can be easily retained using a recovery system instrument.
