About the product
Designed to fit both the L3P and VariSifter sonic separator, W.S. Tyler’s sonic sieves feature a 3-inch diameter frame constructed from transparent acrylic. This provides a direct view of material within the sieve stack, allowing you to make adjustments.
As different levels of precision are needed, sonic sieves can be outfitted with either woven wire (ASTM E-11/ISO 3310 complaint) or electroformed (ASTM E-161/ISO 3310-3 compliant) mesh. Woven wire sonic test sieves feature a ⅝” frame height, whereas electroformed sonic test sieves feature a 1 ¼” frame height.
This increased frame height is to protect the delicate characteristics of the electroformed mesh.
