Types of Screen Printing Mesh

Despite their fineness and delicate appearance, all W.S. Tyler screen printing mesh is highly resistant to aggressive inks and pastes. Precisely defined cloth thickness, very high mesh accuracy and tight tolerances along with precisely specified ink deposit thicknesses provide excellent printing results.

In addition to a large standard program for different application profiles, W.S. Tyler also offers custom solutions. With our innovative screen printing mesh, we have created a pre-requisite for developing increasingly productive screen printing processes.

Specifications

The standard BC bolting cloth specifications cover a wide spectrum, starting in the ränge of 500 to 66 Mesh, open area from 25 to 54% and cloth thicknesses from 60 to 200 µm.

W.S. Tyler tensile bolting cloth is a highly stable stainless steel mesh for precision screen printing. Compared to standard BC bolting cloth, TBC screen printing cloth is woven from stainless steel alloys that, due to complex annealing processes and their specific metal composition, are somewhat elastic yet have great yield strength and stability.

Optimised tension properties provide maximum register accuracy and improved off-contact distance behavior, so that a high level of print reproduction can be achieved. The high strength of the wires ensures a longer service life and maximum printing speed. During the stencil production, a minimal drop in tension occurs and the desired tension value is quickly reached. W.S. Tyler is durable and can withstand mechanical stress.

3D Mesh is manufactured with the same openings and wire diameter as conventional wire mesh, but by modifying the weaving process. 3D Mesh therefore achieves a higher theoretical ink volume resulting in a noticeable gain in opacity and brilliance.
