Oil and gas manufacturing companies must employ a sufficient means of sand control to ensure loose sediment, such as sand, doesn’t reach the final product. Failure to implement sand control filtration, the raw oil will transfer all these impurities to the refining facility. Most refineries cannot filter out impurities in large quantities. If unfiltered oil reaches the facility, the impurities often build up within the equipment, resulting in costly downtime.

W.S. Tyler’s industry-leading premium sand control screens are diffusion-bonded and deliver filtration characteristics that are second to none. Featuring a two-part configuration, these downhole tubes consist of a filtration layer ranging from 60 to 300 micron with a supportive layer bonded on top.

The biggest advantage of implementing a W.S. Tyler premium sand control screen is its resistance to plugging. If plugging does occur, your screen can be backflushed with ease.
